Plissé White Edition er en bordlampe i tekstil designet av designstudioet Folkform. I den skulpturelle serien av armaturer laget utelukkende av hvitt, utfordres den delikate kunsten å plisse. Lampen ble nylig kåret til "Lighting of the Year 2022" av magasinet Residence med motivasjonen: "Et sofistikert lyssmykke som løfter det forsømte håndverket med å pløye inn i en moderne kontekst".
Plissé White Edition is a textile table lamp designed by the design studio Folkform. In the sculptural series of luminaires made entirely of white, the delicate art of pleating is challenged. The lamp was recently named "Lighting of the Year 2022" by the magazine Residence with the motivation: "A sophisticated light jewelry that lifts the neglected craft of pleating into a contemporary context".
Folkform
Folkform er et samarbeid mellom designerne Anna Holmquist og Chandra Ahlsell. Studioet ble grunnlagt i 2005 og har blitt kjent for sine konseptuelle møbler og produktdesign. De kom først inn i offentlighetens søkelys med sitt eksperimentelle arbeid med materialer, spesielt masonite hvor blomster og planter presses inn i brettene - noe som gir en helt ny karakter.
Folkform har siden blitt et internasjonalt navn, og har mottatt flere prestisjetunge designpriser. Arbeidene deres finnes blant annet i den permanente designutstillingen på Nasjonalmuseet i Stockholm og i Nasjonalmuseet for kunst og arkitektur i Oslo.
Folkform is a collaboration between designers Anna Holmquist and Chandra Ahlsell. Founded in 2005, the studio has become known for its conceptual furniture and product design. They first entered the public spotlight with their experimental work with materials, especially masonite where flowers and plants are pressed into the boards-giving an entirely new character.
Folkform has since become an international name, receiving several prestigious design awards. Their work can be found in the permanent design exhibition at National Museum in Stockholm and in the National Museum of Art and Architecture in Oslo, among others.
